From the First Year to Upper Sixth, we work on the importance of accuracy, logic and pattern. We have high expectations, encouraging students to communicate clearly, be imaginative in their solutions and display determination and perseverance when they find something hard (or even impossible!).

It’s OK to get things wrong, because we learn from our mistakes. Studies of the brain have shown that the ‘high’ doesn’t come from solving a problem, but from knowing that we are on the verge of solving it. There’s nothing we love more than seeing a student grasp a complex idea.
