Classics

A subject that opens students’ minds to the ancient world through literature, art, history, philosophy, linguistics and archaeology, Classics has been going through something of a renaissance with GCSE and A-level numbers doubling in 2017. It also includes the study of Latin or Greek, the fundamentals of language and the relationship between Latin and todays modern languages. Students have the opportunity to study some of the finest and most important literature ever written, and enjoy fun practical experiences such as firing a huge catapult on Roman morning.
