Godolphin Wins School Challenge Cup for Second Consecutive Year
Godolphin is proud to announce that its U19A lacrosse team has secured victory in the 2025 School Challenge Cup, hosted by England Lacrosse, for the second year in a row. This prestigious tournament, held on Sunday, 16th November, brought together the top eight teams from the National Schools Lacrosse Championships U19A division for a full day of competitive play to determine the best of the best.
The team faced significant external pressure going into the tournament, having won the Challenge Cup the previous year. With a new line-up, the players committed to an intensive training schedule and worked tirelessly in their free time to prepare. Their efforts paid off as they executed game plans flawlessly throughout a demanding series of matches.
The final against St Catherine’s was a nail-biting contest, with Godolphin’s defence holding strong for six straight minutes without conceding a goal. Goalkeeper Jemima played a pivotal role, stopping nine free-position shots, while the attack managed turnovers and controlled game time with precision.
