Privacy Notice and Information
Health & Wellness
The Health & Wellness Centre at Godolphin is led by experienced Nurse Practitioner Prescriber Sister Dandy Brining, supported by a team of dedicated Registered Nurses who provide compassionate, professional care. With an open door policy, pupils can easily access support when needed, including first aid, a quiet space to rest, and treatment for minor illnesses. The team also supports ongoing medical conditions and can arrange referrals to the school GP or counsellors where appropriate. Counselling is available on several afternoons each week, offering pupils a confidential and supportive space to talk through any concerns, helping them to better understand their feelings and develop positive ways to manage them.
Insurance
Personal Accident Insurance
All pupils are covered by a personal accident insurance policy for which no additional charge is made.
Personal Effects Insurance
Pupils should not bring unnecessary money or valuables into School. Personal effects must all be clearly named. Godolphin's insurance policy covers personal effects against certain risks such as theft and fire but does not cover loss or damage where there is no negligence by the School.
Fees Refund Scheme
This is an opt-in scheme which allows the School to make fee refunds to participating parents if a pupil is unable to attend classes due to sickness, accident or quarantine.
Full details of these schemes are available from the Finance Department.
Leave of Absence
Leave of Absence
Term Dates are fixed at least a year in advance, giving parents the opportunity to make travel and holiday arrangements accordingly.
Leave at Weekends
Fixed Exeat (weekends when the School is closed): There is one exeat per half term. Full boarders can stay in School (there is an additional charge for this) or pupils can choose to spend these weekends with parents or guardians. Parents will be contacted prior to each exeat to confirm arrangements.
School Services
All pupils are expected to attend services at Salisbury Cathedral scheduled during the School year. This includes the annual Christmas and Confirmation services. Any absence from a service needs to be by personal request to the Head.
Absence (daily)
If your child is to be absent from School because of illness, please telephone the School Receptionist on 01722 430500 before 8.20am. Routine dental or other medical appointments should be arranged during the School holidays as far as possible. Requests for permission for leave of absence should be addressed to the Head.
Term Dates
Musical Tuition
Instrumental lessons are offered across a range of instruments, styles and genres.
From Year 7 to Year 10, music lesson times are rotated so that pupils do not miss the same academic slot in quick succession.
To discuss options in more detail, please contact the Music Department. Please note that one term's notice in writing is required before a pupil discontinues any of these lessons.
Photography and Filming
Regular photography and filming takes place in School and forms part of our Marketing collateral. Each year we also photograph every pupil for our School database.
In keeping with our Safeguarding policy we request that you do not take any photographs or digital images of the pupils when you are in School and that no images are shared on social media.
Sample Lunch Menu
Here is a sample lunch menu designed to offer variety and promote healthy choices. Each day includes both a vegetarian option and a meat option. Alongside the main meals, there is a fresh and well-stocked salad bar, as well as either a jacket potato option or pasta with a choice of sauces. Our dessert selection includes a mix of traditional favourites and more modern treats, with yoghurt and jelly always available. We operate on a three-week menu cycle, so menus are regularly refreshed and rotated. Our catering is provided by Lodestone House (formerly Chartwells Independent), which has a rich heritage in independent schools catering.
School Uniform
School uniform is supplied by Schoolblazer. Every pupil must have a full set of school uniform when they start at Chafyn-Godolphin.
Please ensure that all items of your child's uniform are clearly named. Please ensure all items of clothing, linen and sports equipment are named.

Travel
Our bus service also helps build a sense of community among pupils, giving them the opportunity to socialise with friends from different areas while also promoting a more sustainable approach to school travel.
