Fourth Year tennis players representing Wiltshire
On Tuesday Jess, Izzy, Violet and Flora represented Wiltshire at the Year 9 & 10 Div 2 Schools regional tennis finals at Taunton Tennis Club.
They each played a game of singles and a game of doubles but they narrowly lost their first match against Cathedral School Wales. Â They went on to beat St Ives for a place in the Plate Final against Biddeford.
At 3-3 they had to play in a very exciting and close shoot out. Twice they had match point but it was not to be. They were finally placed runners up with the score at 11-13. It was a great experience for the girls who were over seen by a referee and court supervisor who worked hard with the girls to develop their knowledge of the rules and court etiquette. The girls definitely came away a lot more confident for the experience and enjoyed the day. They were also particularly excited to get a Babolat towel for their efforts!
