The First Boarders weekend went with a bang - or rather a bounce, a climb, and a roll!
The first weekend of the Autumn Term, traditionally a Whole Boarding Community Weekend designed to integrate new and existing boarders, went with a bang - or rather a bounce, a climb, and a roll! Friday evening started with a song or two; a sing-along version of The Greatest Showman, a movie-themed quiz, and a well-stocked 'Sweetie Bar'. Following a walk into Salisbury and a little retail therapy on Saturday morning, the afternoon was packed with outdoor adventure. Pitch 1 transformed into a mini PGL like activity centre with climbing tower, zorbing circuit, inflatable target, bouncy castle and two inflatable assault courses. The sun shone as the boarders moved from activity to activity, conquering fears on the climbing tower, hanging upside down in see-through orbs, racing their peers and other year groups through the inflatable obstacles and having great fun! A delicious Chartwells BBQ and ice cream provided a perfect finish to a super day. Sunday was much less energetic allowing for late morning wake-up bells, time with family, a leisurely walk to the local farm and some creative mug painting.
