Remembering with gratitude during Godolphin's Remembrance Service
Uniting with nations across the globe in this 100th year, and as is traditional here in School, Godolphin joined in the Act of Remembrance for those who have lost their lives in war. Following a brief service and readings, the whole of the Senior School and staff gathered around a simple cross to hear read out the names of our Old Girls who lost their lives in conflict in the service of our nation. We were led by our chaplain and the CCF, who laid a wreath and individual crosses at the foot of the memorial. The Last Post was sounded, two minutes silence held, before the Reveille rang out across the campus. Remembering with gratitude those who gave so much, we committed ourselves to create a world of peace, justice and friendship.
