We were very lucky to be able to go to the Oxford Lieder festival on Sunday. The talk on Clara Schumann's life gave insights to working women in the 19th Century and her relationship with her husband Robert Schumann. Then we listened to songs by Loewe, Schumann and Brahms by an amazing Irish singer who blew our minds! Later we were blessed to have a wonderful pianist playing Edvard Grieg to us. It was a lovely day to end the weekend.
