Junior Modern Foreign Language Alpinists
The Alpinists at Godolphin are part of the Inspiring Bright Minds programme. This is an opportunity for students with a flare for a particular subject to be challenged beyond the classroom. The Junior Modern Foreign Language Alpinists met recently and submitted the following report:
Language Alpinists
During the Alpinists, on Wednesday 8th November, we did something called ‘Language Treasures’. The first activity was to match a certain flag with ‘Hello’ in that country’s language.
Afterwards, we set about reading a booklet that had information on German, Spanish and English, such as Idioms, Long words, Tongue Twisters and much more. When we finished reading (In three different languages), we split into pairs and made posters about one of the subjects in the booklet.
Finally, Mrs Avila handed us some language quotes to end the morning.
I would absolutely love to do the language Alpinists again!
