IET Faraday Challenge
On Friday 9 November, Mrs McNulty took a team of six Second Year pupils down to Bishop Wordsworth's School to take part in the IET Faraday engineering Challenge. Having warmed up their vocal chords with “It’s a long way to Tipperary” on the walk down, they were soon busy planning and testing out their response to the engineering brief.
As the challenge runs throughout the year, we are asked not to give the game away in our description of the challenge itself, but after much experimenting with various electrical circuits, and an impressive presentation of their idea, our girls were creditable runners up to Trafalgar School. It was a really well-run, fun challenge, and we are already looking forward to taking part next year.
