After an exciting morning of live streaming with the judges and fellow competitors as part of the Oxford Regional First Lego League tournament, we were delighted to be awarded the Robot Design cup and to be crowned Oxford area regional champions today. We now progress to the First Lego League national final in Harrogate on 26 February.

The team - comprising Lizzie B, Lydia B, Elsa H, Grace R, Isabella R, Amelia T and Emma W, supported by sixth form mentors Annabel O'R, Jessie M, and Alice P - completed two projects in parallel before competing in the live regional final today. They both designed, built, and programmed their Lego robot to complete a series of challenges on the theme of transportation, and designing and prototyping their innovation project - an upcycled rucksack to transport a Surface Pro. Fantastic technical, design and teamwork was rewarded with a place in the nationals!
