Design & Technology are excited to start this year by being able to celebrate success within the department by re-introducing the Designer of the Month award. Each winner receives a certificate and prize and has their work displayed outside the department. Congratulations go to Vivian Gao who won the award for September and to Lily McBride who won for October.

Vivian Gao was chosen because of her amazing design work towards her Design & Technology GCSE NEA that showed an impressive amount of thought and detail. It has been a real pleasure to have her back in school and she has shown great resilience to get the most out of the subject.

The October winner, Lily McBride in the 2nd year, has shown outstanding commitment, creativity and enthusiasm in the subject so far. She has shown herself to be a positive role model in lessons, trying her best and helping others by using her initiative. Lily has also been a keen member of the extra-curricular groups offered by the Design & Technology department and is making the most of every opportunity.
