A wonderful performance by our talented musicians!
The evening of Thursday 28th September saw Godolphin’s first Informal Concert of the year take place in the Main Hall.  Our Informal Concert series runs throughout the year, with one concert taking place in each half of term.  These events provide laid-back opportunities for the girls to try out any repertoire they’ve been working on, perhaps towards a more ‘formal’ concert, or an exam, before a friendly audience.
Because this was the first of the year, and so soon after the Summer holidays, it was especially great to see so many girls signed up for it: 10 in total!  They ranged from pianists in the Lower School through to all of our U6 A-Level Music candidates playing repertoire ranging from Oscar Merikanto album leaves to the first movement of Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto.
All are welcome to attend our Informal Concerts, and, of course, our larger-scale events.  The next date for your diary is the Scholars’ Concert on Thursday 19th October.  We hope to see you there!Â
