A golden store of words delighted a packed PAC
It gave pride and pleasure to students and teachers of Godolphin and Godolphin Prep to draw on a golden store of words delighting a packed audience with an evening of poetry on this year’s National Poetry Day theme: Freedom. A diverse range of verse was recited including works by Shakespeare, Auden, Tagore, Joseph, MacRae and rapper, Kate Tempest; two original works also received debut performances. Whole-class pieces, duets and solo items meant a rich and entertaining variety of works and styles, all confidently performed to an exceptional standard.
