BTEC Performing Arts students perform their immersive interpretation of the story of Oedipus!
The BTEC Performing Arts students performed their own immersive interpretation of the story of Oedipus inspired by the work both Steven Berkoff and Complicite Theatre Company. There were stunning moments of physical theatre, choral elements, voice-over, shadow work and immersive sensory experiences for the audience to enjoy.
With the addition of special effects and fake blood their final performance transformed the room from pure white innocence to blood and ruin symbolising the tragic unravelling of the central character being blinded and living in exile.
Students involved:
- Oriole
- Ella
- Francesca
- Isabella
- Gabi
Technical support: Miss Lewis and Eloise Soester-Gulliver
Well done to all that took part!
