Our Sixth Form are on their way to becoming wine connoisseurs!
On Monday, 10 girls from the lower and upper sixth took part in a small introduction to wine tasting hosted by Chartwells, as part of the Elizabeth Godolphin Award. We were taught about the origins of each wine and how to go about tasting it properly and were asked to comment on characteristics such as the intensity, flavours, body, and tannin levels of each one. All together there were 3 white wines, 1 rose and 2 red wines.
The workshop taught us very useful skills that we will be able to use throughout our lives and it was so lovely to spend time with the lower sixth as it's something we haven’t been able to do as much as we would have liked this year. Thank you Chartwells, we all had so much fun!
