During the weekend we studied the coasts, looking into the beach profile and management at Beesands. This included the types of defences used and their effectiveness. 

We visited Plymouth to assess deprivation in two contrasting urban areas and we also investigated urban regeneration. We explored the countryside and studied infiltration rates in different environments as well as the carbon cycle in a woodland. 

It was an intensive weekend and we had a lot of jokes and a good laugh. And it wouldn’t have been the same without Mrs Collishaw and Mrs Morris.
