An Insight into Help For Heroes
Our H4H enterprise team headed to Tedworth House to present a cheque for the money we raised through selling, mugs, chocolates, pyjamas and t-shirts. When we arrived, we were given a talk by an ex-soldier about Help For Heroes, the work it does and how it impacts the lives of the soldiers and their families. Following this, we had a tour of the facilities including the bedrooms where the soldiers come to stay and the activities available to them in the house. For example, they can paint, draw and create as well as play sport in the amazing sports complex which includes a comprehensive range of gym apparatus and a ski slope. The highlight of our trip was the British Airways First Class lounge, a room that gave the impression you are on a flight with white noise in the background. It was a great experience and it was very inspirational to see the charity’s work and how it changes people’s lives.
