Teams from Godolphin, Stroud, Cheam and Godolphin Prep took part in this year’s Great Godolphin Egg Race. This year’s task asked girls to design and construct a land-yacht from a selection of materials which had to transport an egg across the floor of the Performing Arts Centre. Drawing together strands of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, this activity enabled the STEM subjects to be explored in a distinctly creative way.
We were very impressed with the winning yacht which was designed and constructed by a team from Cheam School. Whilst this team were delighted to take away the biggest chocolate egg prizes, a huge amount of fun was had by all, with every girl receiving a chocolate egg to enjoy at the end.
What will our Science, and Design and Technology departments come up with next year?
