Three intrepid Fourth Years are getting up at the crack of dawn in order to learn Ancient Greek. At 8am three mornings a week when everyone else is gobbling their cornflakes and toast Georgie K, Megan P and Lili B tune in on Teams and spend 45 minutes studying Greek grammar. After a couple of minutes break the girls begin their normal online day along with the rest of the fourth year. They will sit Greek GCSE next summer in addition to all their other subjects having studied the works of Homer, Herodotus and Plato along the way.
Mrs Campbell their teacher said: "I am deeply impressed by their enthusiasm and diligence so early in the morning. They never complain, even on Friday when everyone is exhausted, they are as jolly and hard-working as ever. Their attitude is truly inspirational".
