Although the school was founded on Christianity and Christian values underpin our way of life, my role is to help everyone to flourish and grow, whatever their beliefs and values.
Our small chapel is open at all times and the girls are welcome to use when they need time to think, to pray or simply to be quiet. We have a regular Monday Eucharist service and everyone is welcome, irrespective of whether or not they have been Confirmed. Similarly, anyone in the school community can leave requests for prayers in the prayer book if they would like me to share their prayers for people or situations they are worried about.
Girls meet with me at a School Service, School Prayers, at our regular Eucharist service and at Confirmation preparation in the Spring term or they can arrange to meet me independently in a classroom. Sometimes they need someone to talk to beyond their teachers, Housemistress or family, when times are hard or a listening ear can help keep things in perspective. My door is always open.
