Leith's Tutor - Food Technology

Average 4 sessions per week (16 hrs p/w)

Mon/Tue/Thurs

Zero Hours Contract – Term-time only

Fixed Term – Sept 2021 to June 2022

Salary: £25 per hour

We are looking to appoint a flexible and enthusiastic person, who has knowledge of ‘food room’ safety requirements, to deliver the Leith’s Introductory Certificate in Food and Wine to one or two Lower Sixth classes, each of up to 8 students. There may also be the opportunity to teach one or two Upper Sixth classes of the same maximum size. These classes will be taught within the school day and during the after-school programme. Training will be given in the requirement of Leith’s.

The role includes the preparation of ingredients, materials and equipment for lessons, keeping records, and keeping your food preparation area clean, tidy and in good order.

We are looking for candidates who have good organisational skills and attention to detail, and who are physically fit to undertake bending, lifting and carrying as part of their duties. Flexibility is required, as classes may vary, and there may be occasional weeks in the term where tutoring is not undertaken.

Gap/Graduate Lacrosse Coach

Full Time /Term Time Only

Fixed Term – 01 Sept 2021 to 09 July 2022

Approx. 45 hours per week, to include weekend fixtures and house duties,

with time off in the week

Pro-rata Salary: £12,011 (£16,160 FTE)

We are seeking to appoint a Residential Gap/Graduate Lacrosse Coach to work alongside our experienced teachers in supporting the academic and sports department, and to teach Lacrosse to girls aged 11 – 18 years. For morning/evening boarding duties, you will be attached to one of our three competitive houses, made up of girls aged 13 - 16 years; you may also be expected to carry out some administrative tasks. Board and lodging is provided within the girls’ boarding house, with separate self-contained sleeping quarters.

The defined exception of ‘occupational requirement’ under the Equality Act 2010 applies to this role. Therefore, applications are invited from female candidates only.

Teaching Assistant

Full Time - Term Time Only (including inset)

Pro-rata Salary for fixed term: £11,799.01

Full-Time Equivalent Salary: £16,216.20

The Learning Support Team are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible Teaching Assistant to join their team, to work with the SENDCo and other staff members to ensure effective interventions in Teaching and Learning. The successful candidate will assist the classroom teachers to deliver and enable learning with identified students, support teaching in the classrooms with a range of interventions and deliver aspects of personal care to identified students on a 1:1 basis.

The role follows a two-week timetable with variable start/finish times over the two-week period – standard day is 8:50am to 4:00pm, however there are two shifts per week ending at 6:00pm, and one shift (alternate weeks) starting at 10:15am.

Pool & Fitness Centre Manager

Full Time – 40 hrs p/w

Permanent

Salary Scale: £30,000 to £36,000 per annum

6 weeks Annual Leave (30 days)

We are looking to recruit a suitably experienced and qualified Manager to run and oversee the day-to-day functioning of the Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre, which includes use by Godolphin students, staff, Centre Members, external clubs and aquatic courses. The role also includes management of all associated staffing, administration, training and Health and Safety requirements.

The successful candidate will work with the current team to cover the Centre’s opening hours which will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays, so the ability to work flexibly is essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a successful department and contribute to its continuing development.

Teacher of Physical Education (two role options)

Full Time – Permanent

and

Fixed Term – Maternity Cover

Salary Scale: Godolphin Teacher Salary Scale

(Points 1 – 9, £25,000 - £41,369)

We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Physical Education with significant expertise across all areas of the P.E. curriculum to work with a department who are highly committed and confident. A specialism in lacrosse would be a distinct advantage.

You will be expected to teach a wide range of the PE curriculum to girls 11 - 18 years, particularly our main sports: lacrosse, netball, athletics and tennis. It is also important for you to be able to assist with a wide range of other sports including hockey, cricket, dance, gymnastics, swimming and Health

Related Exercise. Candidates would be expected to contribute to teams and should indicate their level of coaching and umpiring experience in different sports or activities.

It is essential to be able to attend fixtures during the week and at weekends. PE staff receive a timetable reduction compared to other teaching staff representing a day off in lieu of weekend duties. The ability to drive a school minibus, for team practices and matches etc., would be advantageous. There may be the opportunity to teach A-level PE.
