The Green Group is a student driven initiative which was started after a group of girls watched An Inconvenient Truth. The girls were motivated by the film to make a difference at School and in the greater Salisbury community.
The group has raised awareness about energy saving through a “Lights Out” campaign and have encouraged staff and pupils alike to save paper by using double sided printing, and re-using single sided paper for draft work, notes, etc. These are just two of their projects and the group’s main aim is to raise enough money to purchase a bio digester fuel composter for the school.
There are currently Green Groups in the Prep School, the Senior School and the Sixth Form and Godolphin was recently awarded their Bronze status in the world-wide Eco Schools Programme.
