Godolphin is one of the oldest girls’ schools in the country and it has played a prominent part in Salisbury for many years. The advantages of single sex education are well documented and as part of the Godolphin community which educates girls from 3-18, the very happy environment in the Prep provides excellent opportunities for day girls 3-11 (and boarders from 7) to fulfil their potential in all aspects of school life.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our staff and the facilities we share with the Senior School. The quality of our pastoral care is well recognised (by parents and inspectors) and our curriculum effectively combines knowledge and skills with innovative projects and excellent IT, enabling all of our girls to enjoy academic success.
For a small school we excel in a wide range of sports (we are National Small Schools Swimming Champions and current holders of the Salisbury Small Schools Athletics trophy) and the standards in music and drama are particularly high. In addition, we offer a wide range of after school activities (up to 20 are offered every term) and the majority of our girls stay to complete their prep and pursue their interests in clubs as diverse as Lego robots, kick boxing, yoga and decoupage.
