HEAD OF FINANCE 

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Head of Finance to this new role following a restructuring of the Bursary into two separate functions – Operations and Finance.  The role requires an excellent, all-round candidate with a proven record of effective financial management.

The successful candidate will be flexible, energetic, creative and willing to go the ‘extra mile’. He/she will be positive, open minded, team spirited and hardworking.   A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA) will be required however,  prior experience of working in the Education sector is not essential.  The Head of Finance will lead the Finance team, which has an important role in the School, demanding of its staff a professional, high quality yet friendly approach at all times. The salary will be competitive.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Line management of School Finance Department.

• Control of the School’s financial resources in accordance with the policies set by the Head and Governors from time to time.

• Financial Reporting, Cash Control, Forecasting and Budgeting.

• Acting as Company Secretary for the Godolphin School Trustee Limited.

• Maintaining the school’s charitable status, liaising where necessary with the Charity Commission and monitoring relevant changes to charity law.

• Supporting the School’s Senior Management Team and the Head in the delivery of the School’s strategic and operational plans.

EXTERNAL RELATIONS ASSISTANT

Do you have good admin skills, a ‘can-do’ attitude and plenty of energy and enthusiasm? Then you could be just what we need to join our External Relations team. You’ll provide admin support to the Director of External Relations which will include updating our database, helping with event-planning, basic bookkeeping and minute taking.

The role is preferably full-time but some flexibility may be offered during the school holidays. You’ll need to be IT literate with good keyboard skills and a discreet professional manner.
