SCHOOL RECEPTIONIST 
Part-Time
2018

We are seeking an energetic and flexible person to take on the role of School Receptionist. You will work closely with all support staff, particularly the School Secretary and the Head’s PA and have considerable contact with visitors to the School, parents, teaching staff and students. This is for a part-time position, Monday to Friday 12pm-6pm. The ideal candidate will have a warm and friendly personality, with excellent communication and organisation skills.

ACCOMPANIST AND PIANO TEACHER
September 2018

This is an exciting post for a talented pianist. Godolphin School requires an accompanist and piano teacher who will accompany school concerts, public and Associated Board examinations and teach the piano.  He/she will work with our most talented musicians, coaching them for A-level and GCSE performances as well as preparing pupils for university and music college interviews.  This is a musical school and opportunities for high quality performances are many.  The person appointed to this post will be an outstanding pianist.  Experience in accompanying and piano teaching is desirable and excellent sight-reading essential.

FOOD AND NUTRITION DEPARTMENT CLASSROOM ASSISTANT
September 2018

Godolphin School is looking for a Classroom Assistant to work in the successful Food and Nutrition Department, 15 Hours per week Monday to Friday, (Term Time only), from September 2018.

The work is varied and will include preparing ingredients for lesson demonstrations, supporting teachers and the girls in their practical lessons and maintaining the readiness of the food rooms for lessons. In addition, there will be some administrative duties that include photocopying and preparing resources for lessons. This is an exciting opportunity for a person who loves cooking and everything related to Food and Nutrition.

We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic person who enjoys working with young people. The role will involve using your own initiative, as well as working as part of a team. Previous experience of working in a school or in the food industry would be useful but not essential. The successful candidate will be joining a department who are committed to achieving excellent results.

KS1/LOWER KS2 TEACHER

GRADUATE GAP ASSISTANT (LACROSSE)
September 2018 – July 2019

We seek a candidate with significant expertise in Lacrosse and to work with a department which is highly committed and confident. 

They will be expected to teach Lacrosse to girls aged 11 – 18 yrs and help coach/assist with Senior and Junior teams.  Candidates should indicate their level of coaching and umpiring experience. They must be prepared to assist where necessary with our other sports: netball & hockey.  They will have a sound knowledge of sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, aerobics and Health Related Fitness to cater for our senior girls’ options.  They will need to be able to coach/assist with our Summer sports of tennis, athletics and rounders.

It is essential to be able to attend fixtures during the week and at weekends. A day off is given in lieu of weekend duties.  The ability to drive a school minibus, for team practices and matches would be a distinct advantage.  The successful candidate would help with administrative duties, and it may be necessary to cover for absent colleagues within the department and team teach where appropriate.  In the wider school role, the successful candidate will be responsible for some house duties and be attached to one of the three competitive houses.

COMBINED CADET FORCE (CCF) ADULT VOLUNTEER
September 2018 (or earlier)

Godolphin is looking for a CCF Officer to join the team.  Previous military or CCF experience is desirable but not a pre-requisite.  A willingness to commit to the CCF, embrace its ethos and to learn the basic military skills of being a junior officer in the CCF are far more important.  Previous experience of a school / teaching environment would be advantageous.  Must be willing to commit to CCF activities (particularly on weekly parades) on a regular basis including weekends and the annual Easter and summer camps.

Must attend a week long residential Basic CCF Officers’ Course at the Cadet Training Centre, Frimley Park within two years of joining the CCF (likely to take place in term time).  There will also be a requirement to attend an induction course run over a weekend by the local Cadet Training Team.
